Checking Account Overdraft Protection

Check Credit Loan Account

When you apply for a Check Credit Account, upon approval, you and Bluff View Bank mutually agree on a line of credit, depending on your needs and your credit history. When your checking account is overdrawn, the bank transfers money, in increments of $100, into your checking account.

The repayment plan is simple and automatic.  Each month, Bluff View Bank will automatically deduct a specific amount (based on your loan balance) from your checking account ten days after your monthly statement is produced.  In addition to the automatic payment, you can repay any or all of the balance at any time.

Overdraft Protection Account

You designate a savings or money market account to serve as your “overdraft protection account”. Then, if you should inadvertently overdraw your account, we will automatically transfer funds into your checking account to cover the insufficient balance. Transfers can be made for the amount needed to cover the item(s) or for a fixed amount.  There is a $5 charge for each transfer made.
