Full-Time Universal Banker/New Account Representative – Holmen

We are currently hiring for a full-time Universal Banker for our Holmen location.

We are looking for people who are passionate about providing a great customer service experience. The Universal Banker & New Accounts Representative position assists customers with transactions of all types and is responsible for developing and maintaining profitable personal and business deposit relationships through excellent customer service, cross sales and referrals.

Exceptional customer service, a positive attitude, and communication skills are our top requirements. You must also possess basic math skills, be proficient in computers and be comfortable with the latest mobile technology. Prior banking and/or cash handling experience is a plus, but not required. Standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 40 pounds will be necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Universal Banker/New Account Representative will perform a variety of functions that support the retail operations of the bank, including but not limited to, customer service, opening new accounts as well as some audit functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

New Accounts/Personal Banking
· Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all products and services offered.
· Open new accounts of all kinds & close existing accounts with proper follow-up (including INMO)
· Have a thorough understanding of IRAs and be responsible for all IRA requests, including account opening, Transfers In / Out, Beneficiary changes, etc.
· Order & cancel debit cards. Resolve debit card disputes.
· Cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs. Refer to other employees as appropriate.
· Resolve customer issues or complaints to their satisfaction. Follow up with customer to ensure positive resolution.
· Monitoring daily overdraft report and contacting customers as needed.
· Other new accounts duties as necessary.

Business Development
· Make customer calls on own initiative or upon referrals made by others and in accordance with established goals.
· Establish New Account growth goals for Holmen branch monthly/annually/as requested. Responsible for the success of the Holmen branch in meeting those goals
· Actively pursue innovative ways to generate new business to meet goals.

Customer Service Representative/Teller
· All normal duties of a CSR/Teller as needed.

Other
· Training of new account and teller staff in Holmen; assist other branches as needed.
· Balance Holmen ATM
· All other duties and projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

· Post-secondary education with business or finance related coursework or equivalent work experience in financial institution desired but not required
· Previous experience in lending, accounting, and loan servicing strongly desired
· Excellent customer service skills required
· Computer proficiency at a mid to expert level in: Microsoft Office programs including Excel required
· Understanding of commercial banking laws, bank products, services, policies, and procedures, as well as accounting, financial analysis and principles of commercial and consumer credit
· Demonstrated ability to use various interpersonal styles and communication methods, depending on customer and situation, to gain their acceptance of a product or service
· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight time constraints
· Knowledge of legal documentation will be required
